I have been offering a few types of specialized wellness services since 1998 and I'm happy that you are here to learn more about what I do.
I was first introduced to Amma, traditional Japanese massage, in 1997 while taking the Shiatsu certification program at the Shiatsu Institute and Therapy Center in San Francisco. Upon my completion there, I received further training in Amma while pursuing another certification in chair massage program through TouchPro International. In 2004, I purchased a well-established workplace wellness company called Touch Wellness, and continued its legacy servicing the San Francisco Bay Area with chair massage and ergonomic coaching, with my team of highly trained chair massage specialists.
Amma is a traditional Japanese massage, rooted in the theoretical framework of traditional Chinese medicine, and dating back over 2500 years. Done over clothing, the various techniques using the fingers, elbows, knees, palms and forearms stimulate pressure points along the meridians throughout the body. I love the versatility of this style and the effectiveness in facilitating circulation, increasing the flow of chi/energy, and relaxing the nervous system. Amma is done both as a full body table massage and upper body seated chair massage.
Throughout my career, I helped hundreds of workers in their workplaces get relief from their (mostly) desk jobs, through massage, exercise instruction, and ergonomic coaching and education.
I love all things health and wellness, and in the last few years have developed a love for holistic health coaching through organic, superfood nutrition as well as frequency therapy. Health can be addressed in numerous ways, and I've found that usually, the route with least resistance gives you access to a more easeful change.
